“This was considered a Jewish neighborhood before the war. Most people who lived here were deported to the camps and never returned. During the war their houses were plundered and the neighborhood was completely neglected. Those were very tragic times. When I bought a house here in the 60’s you could still feel it in the atmosphere. ”
“I like learning about new cultures. It’s a way of getting an answer to the ‘why?’. When you know the ‘why?’ suddenly strangers are not so strange anymore.”

*After our conversation he walked up to me and asked do you mind? Then I got a big hug..

“What do you like most about brains?”
“They are fascinating. Through our brains we can keep learning new things and that’s how we can change constantly. By using the right tools we can change the structure of our brains and our thinking patterns. This means that for example, criminals could change their mindset by using these tools. These tools could possibly be used to fight evil. That might sound a bit naive but i admit I’m a bit hippie.”
